I hate other peoples kids

Well folks, I have been a disgustingly boring blogger (DBB), but this last year I have seriously gone down hill.
All excuses are now so over-used I would not blame anyone for reading no further.
Yes it has been a traumatic year, as all are for me. Sickness, kids, school issues, travel blah-de-blah-blah. I know I can waffle on and on about everything and nothing.
My biggest gripe at the moment is some kids in my son's class at school explaining in very fine detail the in's and out's of sex. He is 10 yrs old and now has graphic pictures in his head of how a man put's his thing into a lady's thing and it takes about 28 seconds. If a man likes men instead of women then he is gay and will put his thing in the man's bottom thing. All these things have made me feel very ill indeed. I have been asked questions. A lot of questions. Weird questions. 10 year olds kind of questions. How long does it stay there? How does it feel? Do I have to do it when I get married? What if I do not like the look of it?
The final conclusion for my little (well, he was.....) boy is that he will no longer decide who to marry based upon her pretty face or her cute smile or her intelligence. Now he has new criteria. What does her THING look like.

damn, i'll still read ya!

i was going to comment something lighthearted like mori but i am afraid you'll eat us both.

but seriously my time in school in dubai was no better.. however it took me ages to discover what the f-word entailed.. didn't stop me from using it or from hearing it hehe

however at no point whatsoever would DARE mention it to my parents. we just smiled when it came to these things and play kids :)

shit, now i turned 30 and i still do not talk about this stuff to my parents!

Crazy different from when I was in school ... possibly I heard the f-word in 10th grade (I was 14) ... and figured that sex even exists when I was 15 and actually UNDERSTOOD what it meant a year or two later!

I agree with BuJ in the sense that talking abt this with parents is not...I dunno...done in my family anyway. My dad probably still thinks (misguidedly) that I don't know what sex is, although me and Mom have discussed it recently.

I've seen this even with my cousin sister; she's 13 now but she knows pretty much all that I do!

Kids are growing up way too fast for my liking these days.

nzm, nice to see you, thanks for reading, yup, thats it, done my job with the kids.

Bujjjjj...grrrrr

D, I agree, in my parents house these things were never ever mentioned. But, I am glad that he felt it was secure enough to talk honestly with me, just wish it had been in 6 years time!

I'm not too surprised CG - kids across the UAE have been exposed to some of the ways of the West. Compared to our days, kids know a lot these days, even my 5 year old nephew! He used the F word (picked it up from his best friend at school). His mom almost passed out when he shouted out the F word the first time! I don't think he knows what it means. Nevertheless she was in tears, and my twin, couldn't get over the anxiety.

Last Christmas at MOE, overheard two kids (a boy not more than 6 or 7, and a girl probably the same age) The girl goes F-you to the boy. The boy responds - "you can't F-me, you don't have the 'thing' haha" I stood there, partly confused and in shock.

Thanks Paris Hilton.

lol rosh you're amazing..

don't be rude, coz paris hilton might have more "thing" than me or you put together!

don't be fooled by the body or the smile :P

Bro, I wasn't being 'rude' to the w****. Infact calling Paris a W is insulting to those women selling sex to food on the table.

ummm..not sure what's the 'thing' you're referring to?
